BINTULU: Government departments and agencies should regularly hold meeting customers day programmes to empower public services in this country, especially Bintulu.

Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming hoped that this programme would continue to be implemented to give the public an opportunity to come face-to-face with officials and staff of relevant agencies to raise issues and problems and obtain information about the services provided.

“I hope that more government agencies and departments emulate the approach of the Bintulu Development Board (BDA) in organising the programme (Meeting Customers Day) in line with the slogan of the local authority agency “Together We Make Bintulu Better’,” he said when met at the programme Meet BDA Clients Day at Boulevard Shopping Mall, here.

Therefore, he urged the public to take the opportunity by visiting service counters to voice issues related to housing areas, communities and other daily life issues proactively to enable relevant parties to take appropriate action.

The BDA Customer Meeting Day programme was held for two days (May 20 and 21) by providing door tax payment counters, parking application services as well as giving the public the opportunity to meet face-to-face with BDA officials to voice issues or problems as well as get advice on related matters.
