KUCHING: An outpatient of Hospital Sentosa was delighted when Ibraco Berhad announced that they would repair her house in Stutong Baru for free.

The announcement came about when Ibraco Berhad and Hope Place paid a visit to her house.

The 72-year-old Missi Bi is living with her son in Stutong Baru. The village where she stays is swampy and most of the houses there are wooden houses on stilts.

“Missi’s house is very rundown and needs major repair. Some parts of the floor have big cracks and the wooden stilts are rotten to the point of breaking down. Even the small wooden bridge has collapsed,” said Kelvin Wan, the founder of Hope Place.

He added that Missi has been a recipient of Hope Place’s contributions for more than two years.

Meanwhile, Kelvin expressed that Ibraco’s contribution had set an example to all to be actively involved in local charity.
