KUCHING: An elderly worker died suddenly after he collapsed in a bathroom of a house he was renovating yesterday.

The incident occurred at around noon at Tabuan Jaya when Mohd Sapar, 60, from Jalan Siol Kandis, complained of dizziness before collapsing in the bathroom.

His colleagues who saw him lying on the floor immediately called for an ambulance.

However, the elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after they failed to revive him.

His remains were taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.

Meanwhile, a fisherman was made RM5,000 poorer after his house was broken into on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 7.00am at Kampung Buntal after he left home to send his children to a school.

When he arrived home he was shocked to see the front door was wide open. He immediately went into the house to check and found his bag which contained RM5,000 in cash was missing.

He went to a police station to lodge a report.
