KUCHING: An unconscious elderly man, who was trapped inside a toilet, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to State Bomba Operation Centre, an emergency call was received at 12.49pm this afternoon (Feb 10) regarding an unconscious man in a toilet.

“A team of firemen from Petra Jaya was dispatched to a house at Taman Faderal, Matang where a 64-year-old man was found unconscious on the ground.

“The door to the toilet was locked and the firemen had to break the door knob to tend to the elderly man,” it said.

The team was able to get in, however, the victim was confirmed dead by medical officials at the scene, it added.
