KUCHING: An elderly man died in Sarawak General Hospital after he was knocked down by a car at BDC near here yesterday morning.

The deceased identified as Kong Siau Chi, 82, of Taman Satria Jaya was jogging along the road when a car driven by a 68-year-old woman knocked him down.

The car was heading to BDC from Stutong when the accident happened. The impact of the collision caused Kong to be flung to the car’s windscreen and fell on the roadside. An ambulance later took Kong to Sarawak General Hospital for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
