KUCHING: A man was killed in an accident that occurred early today morning (Jan 25) at Lorong Juara 1, Taman Sukma, here.
Kuching district police chief, ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, said the driver was traveling alone toward Jalan Pending when the accident took place on the shoulder of the road around 7 am.
The 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Sarawak General Hospital.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.
