MUKAH: Getting information about educational institutions for further studies has become easier for the current generation compared to the past, according to Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine.
He said that nowadays there are many activities and programmes, like the Education Expo held across the state, that provide students with opportunities to learn about different institutions.
According to him, in the past, people had to rely on sources like newspapers to find information, but now it’s more accessible.
Royston said this during the Sarawak Education Exbpo 2023, which took place at the Mukah Polytechnic Auditorium on Friday.
He advised students who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) should not be too selective when it comes to continuing their studies. Instead, they should seize any opportunity to gain knowledge and improve the future of their families, especially those who are underprivileged, he said.
Royston urged students to remember the importance of giving back to the community once they become successful.
