KUCHING: The drivers of two vehicles escaped unhurt in a road accident on the Kuching-Sri Aman Highway at Kampung Punggu Tapang, yesterday (May 18).
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a report, the collision which took place at approximately 12.46 pm, involved a Toyota Avanza and a Toyota Hilux.
The drivers involved were identified as Chu Teck Seng, 31, who was driving the Toyota Hilux, and Mazuri Bujang, 41, who was driving the Toyota Avanza.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Sri Aman firefighters found that both drivers had already been extracted from their vehicles by bystanders.
They proceeded to record the necessary information but did not undertake any operational actions as the scene was deemed safe.
The operation, which included a team of five personnel from Sri Aman fire station and an additional two personnel from the Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS), concluded at 1.38 pm.
