KUCHING: A local man sustained injuries after his car crashed into a ditch along Jalan Sultan Tengah, Petra Jaya this morning (Apr 7).
The accident happened around 7.25am when the victim’s Honda Civic had veered off the road and ended up in a ditch by the roadside.
Firefighters from Petra Jaya station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found the 38-year-old driver injured in his seat and rescued him out of his vehicle.
The victim was then handed over to Red Crescent paramedics for on-site treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
The extent of his injuries was not known.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 8.30am.
