MIRI: The construction of the drainage project at Kampung Sealine in Lutong is proceeding well and expected to be completed ahead of schedule.
Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting said construction of the 290-metre-long drainage project commenced on March 17 this year and was expected to be ready on September 19.
The RM200,000 project is implemented under Piasau’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
“Today, we are visiting the site and I’m very happy to see the progress of the project. Once completed, it will solve flood woes in this area,” he said when met after inspecting the site in Lutong on Wednesday (June 23).
“This is another project for the people from the state government,” he added.
