KUCHING: Douglas Bong has been elected president of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Padawan chapter.

The election of its Board of Directors for 2024 took place at its eighth Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Bong conveyed his gratitude to the members for their confidence in electing him as the president for the 2024 term.

“This role is more than a title; it is a pledge, a commitment to all of you. My mission is simple: to take our chapter to greater heights,” he said in a Facebook post recently.

He lauded the outgoing president, Vincent Tang, for his exemplary leadership in 2023.

“Your leadership has left me with no excuse but to strive for nothing short of excellence.

“And to all of our distinguished past presidents, your ongoing dedication and support are the foundation on which we will construct a more promising future,” he added.

Bong acknowledged that without the steadfast support of the members, JCI Padawan would not be at its current standing.
