SIBU: The Sibu Hospital Blood Bank and four NGOs will come together and organise four blood donation campaigns this weekend.
The blood bank campaigns in collaboration with Sanyan Wood Industries Sdn Bhd will take place at Jalan Tanjung Kunyit, while the campaign with Jalan Oya Health Clinic will be held at Dewan Takraw, Jalan Bandong.
Both campaigns will be held on Apr 12 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Meanwhile, the campaigns with Wang Ming Methodist Church at 11, Lorong Kiew Nang 2 from 9 am to 1 pm, and Logos Methodist Church at Jalan Tong Sang from 12 pm to 4.30 pm will be held on Apr 13.
“We warmly welcome your participation! As many are aware, our blood stock levels are currently low.
“We urge more Sibu residents to come forward and donate to ensure a steady supply of blood,” said the Sibu Hospital Blood Bank in its Facebook post yesterday (Apr 9).
Earlier, the blood bank said that during the festive season, there is usually an increase in emergency cases, bleeding, and accidents, which leads to higher demand for blood.
Members of the public can also visit the blood bank at Sibu Hospital (Room 55) during working hours to donate blood.
