KUCHING: The actions of any party attempting to disrupt the nation’s direction through protests or similar measures must be avoided, says Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

Touching on the case involving former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak, Tiong said that he was not fully aware of the details of the case.

However, he urged all parties to place their trust in the Pardons Board, in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s call to prioritise political stability.

“The future of Malaysia must not be derailed by political agendas.

“Regardless of differences, I urge all parties to resolve disputes through dialogue and negotiation instead of hastily demanding changes in leadership,” he said in a Facebook post.

The Bintulu MP also said maintaining a stable environment is crucial to supporting Malaysia’s economic recovery and growth amid a rapidly changing global landscape.

This, he stressed, not only benefits the nation but also sends a clear message to the international community that Malaysia is a peaceful, stable, and prime destination for investment.

He called on all parties to remain calm, set aside differences, and adopt a long-term perspective on the current situation.

“By fostering a spirit of unity, we can contribute to the nation’s resurgence. This is not just about the country’s future but also the future of all Malaysians,” he added.
