Deputy minister visits PMR project in his constituency

SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii recently visited the People’s Friendly Project (PMR) site at RH Badindang, RH Kendawang, and RH Adut here.

The project includes providing essential building materials, including spandex and asbestos, to improve the living standards of the residents in the longhouses.

Huang, who is Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change, in a statement said the project is to ensure that the rural community enjoys a comfortable life comparable to the people in the city.

To achieve this, he pledged necessary upgrades and allocations to other longhouses in Sarikei to enhance the living standards of the residents.

The site visit was conducted by the Sarawak State Development Office in collaboration with Huang’s Sarikei Service Centre.

During the visit, the village heads thanked Huang for the implementation of the PMR project.

They expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the work, noting that it’s completion has significantly improved the local community’s infrastructure.
