KUCHING: The Enforcement Unit of the Lands and Surveys Department Sarawak has successfully thwarted the transfer of rock materials without approval in district of Sibu on Tuesday (Sep 8).
During the operation, two heavy machineries used to carry out the illegal activity were seized as evidence for investigation.
Meanwhile, through a separate operation in the Kuching district on the same date, a heavy machine was seized as evidence for investigation on suspicion of violating the conditions of the license that had been issued.
These activities were successfully detected as a result of intelligence and patrols carried out. The case will be investigated under section 32A of the Sarawak Land Code (Chapter 81).
Following that, people who want to do the activity of dredging or transfer of the rock materials are advised to first refer to the nearest Land and Survey Office for further advice to avoid any enforcement action.
