The lorries seized from the site in Batu Niah, Miri for involvement in illegal rock extraction activities.

KUCHING: Land and Survey Department (LSD) enforcement unit has successfully cracked down on another illegal rock extraction in Miri.

This time the illegal activity was discovered at a site in Batu Niah.

In the operation, which was carried out last Thursday, the LSD enforcement unit also seized three heavy vehicles that were used in the illegal activity.

The case would be investigated under Section 32A of the State Land Code (Chapter 81).

The department has reiterated calls for members of the public to refer to its enforcement unit for advice pertaining to any activity involving extraction of soil or rock.
