KABONG: The Sarawak government is committed to ensuring that every project under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) which has experienced slight delays due to the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) will be continued.
Kabong assemblymen Mohd Chee Kadir said development projects that provide great benefits to the residents would not be stopped.
“For example, the RTP 2020 project, building a new bridge in Sungai Peruntung, Kampung Nyabor costing RM400,000 will continue.
“Even though the implementation is slightly off the original schedule due to the restriction, but this year we are committed to ensure it becomes a reality,” he said.
He said this after reviewing the project which is being actively implemented here, today (April 24).
He explained that the bridge is very important to the residents around Nyabor. He also reminded the contractors involved to complete it immediately.
Mohd Chee then had the opportunity to visit the senior citizens, Habsah Jeli, while handing over a wheelchair.
The 86 year-old woman has leg problems that make it difficult for her to move normally, including doing daily chores for the past three years.
Kampung Nyabor Baru chief Bakihan Nani and Kampung Nyabor Lama Chief Abang Ahmad Abang Ali were also present.
