KUCHING: Kuching folk were treated to a special appearance by DBKU Mayor Datuk Wahab Julaihi who played the role of a base player and 76-year-old crooner Datuk Jeffreydeen Tuesday night.
The performance was part of the second night of events dubbed Bandarku Warisan Pintar organised by DBKU in collaboration with the state government and the #okshe project.
The ongoing event which began Monday is aimed at reminding people of Kuching’s heritage. It is also part of the council’s efforts to rev up activities for Kuching city.
Julaihi spent the entire evening leading the DBKU 5 band.
Some 2,000 people were at the Waterfront Kuching to enjoy the evening.
