MIRI: Talented business students transformed intricate legal concepts into captivating visual displays at Curtin University Malaysia’s Third Annual Company Law Poster-Making Competition here recently.
The event, that took place at the university’s auditorium, saw participants being tasked with distilling complex legal frameworks into engaging and imaginative posters that made the law accessible and interesting.
Dr Mohammad Belayet Hossain, a lecturer in Business Law at Curtin’s Faculty of Business, led the initiative with support from industry partner and sponsor, PARC Shared Office.
“Our goal was to push students beyond the textbook, encouraging them to engage with the law in a meaningful, visual and collaborative way,” he said.
“In doing so, they gained a deeper understanding of company law, alongside essential skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and presentation that are vital for any aspiring business professional.”
This year’s competition saw the team comprising of Kangkolo Juniocr Nteh, Leon Sibanda, Keerthigan Krsnan Gopikrishnan, Semen Mitin and Badrul Hafizy Sazaly take home the top honours.
The first runner-up spot went to Kai Chern Chung, Jia Yu Le and Jolin Zhe Lin Sian, while Haziq Zainal Abidin and Sean Yang secured the third position.
