BETONG: The recent proposal to allow cultural programmes and concerts on university campuses is a way to honour and celebrate the country’s rich heritage.

This idea, initiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aims to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents without any restrictions.

Dr. Bolhan Budeng, an Associate Professor at i-CATS University College’s Faculty of Agriculture and Applied Science, commended the Anwar’s commitment to this relaxation of rules for organising small and controlled concerts on campus.

While acknowledging the significance of this flexibility, Dr Bolhan also cautioned against any potential misunderstanding or misuse of the privilege.

During the ‘Meet Anwar’ Programme at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) on Sunday, Anwar shared his intention to slightly relax the regulations governing cultural events on campuses.
