KUCHING: The West Kalimantan province of Indonesia will temporarily halt its foreign bus operations including the Pontianak-Kuching as well as the Pontianak-Sarawak-Brunei routes.

According to a statement yesterday, the suspension will take effect today (March 17) following an increase in the Covid-19 cases in Sarawak and Brunei.

“The suspension period will continue until the outbreak subsides,” the statement added.

As of yesterday, Sarawak had recorded 34 positive Covid-19 cases while Brunei had 50.
