MIRI: A four-feet-long crocodile was spotted inside a drain at Jalan Nego Promin Jaya here on Monday (July 27).

A spokesperson of Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) said that the department immediately despatched its Delta squad to the scene after it was alerted  at 9.54pm.

According to the complainant, he was making burgers when he heard water splashes in the drain in front of the housing area.

Fearing for the safety of the public, he reached out to relevant authorities to assist in catching the crocodile.

The squad managed to capture the reptile and released it to its habitat at 10.44pm.
