KUCHING: Bilateral ties between Sarawak and China remain strong despite disruption by the COVID-19 pandemic, says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
The Public Health, Housing and Local Government Minister shared this information after receiving a courtesy call from Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching, Cheng Guangzhong, on Thursday (Jan 13).
In a Facebook post, he thanked Cheng for the various Zoom meetings with the Sarawak friendship provinces and cities as well as exchanges on COVID-19.
“Looking forward to face-to-face exchanges, be it government to government or people to people, as we enter the phase of living with the virus.
“Let’s prosper together as good neighbours,” said Dr Sim.
