KUCHING: An independent and clean judiciary has now given the chance to Malaysia to reboot.

“For Malaysia, this is a new chapter,” said political observer Datuk Peter Minos after the courts dealt with a few higher ups who transgressed the law.

“After these matters are settled, those holding high positions and who run the nation as leaders and administrators will think ten times before robbing and stealing public funds.

“I believe what has happened will make Malaysia have a cleaner and better ruling elite,” he said.

He added that with a cleaner and better ruling elite, it will usher in a better, more effective and efficient government and administration at all levels.

“Without doubt, there will be more honesty and integrity around and these will see smoother and better economic development, politics, and other public endeavours.

“In short, Malaysia will definitely see better days ahead. From now on, it is a slow but gradual walk for betterment in all fields and sectors,” he said.

Towards this end he predicted that by 2024, Malaysia will be operating like how it once did.

“Knowing that Malaysians are a resilient and gritty lot, the glory of Malaysia is within reach. Furthermore, Malaysia has the resources in many things for it to be great again,” he said.
