KUCHING: A staff member at a 24-hour convenience store was slashed in the back during a confrontation with two armed robbers.
The robbers, who were wearing full-faced helmets and welding samurai swords, barged into the shop around 4.50am at Upland Road, here.

He said unfortunately one of the duty staff members did not run fast enough to escape the attack.
He said the robbers made a quick escape, taking with them “a few packets of cigarettes”.
