MUKAH: The Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) has drawn up a diagram of entry and exit to Mukah public market as a move to curb the spread of Covid-19 virus.

According to the council’s assistant environmental health officer Nazir Besiri, the diagrams were posted at the three places, which started with the My Sejahtera QR code scan, check-in books, body temperature check and requiring visitors to wear face mask properly.

He added that all visitors and traders who enter the market area are advised to use the entrance provided by the council as shown in the diagram.

“Every visitor or trader who enters is required to scan the MySejahtera application or write down their particulars in the book, take body temperature readings and wear a face mask correctly,” he explained

“The council would like to thank the more than 500 visitors who entered the area today because they have cooperated and complied with the instructions.

“We expect that with a diagram like this, our standard operating procedures (SOPs) will not be forgotten and they also feel safe and always alert and follow the guidelines,” he added.

New Sarawak Tribune also surveyed the market area according to the diagram and observed the behaviour of the visitors as they complied with the SOP set by the council.

The public who enters the market area must comply and follow the SOP as provided by the local authority.
