KUCHING: The Kapit District Council, in partnership with the Divisional Disaster Management Committee, today launched its ‘Get Your Vaccine, Stop Covid-19’ programme which will be held in Kapit, Song and Belaga districts until July 31.
The programme intends to boost the number of registrations for Covid-19 vaccine recipients and offers services to the local community in the form of counselling and teaching on how to use the MySejahtera application to register as a recipient of the Covid-19 Vaccine.
Aside from registering for vaccinations, the public can also check the registration status and acquire Covid-19 information.
Chairman of Kapit District Council Lating Minggang urged residents to take advantage of the programme and register for the Covid-19 vaccine.
He anticipated that the programme would increase the vaccination registration for the Kapit Division by at least 80 percent, enhancing public awareness about the hazards of Covid-19.
Also present were Council secretary Jabang Juntan, Kapit Divisional Health officer Dr Adeline Alina Dihom and divisional head of departments.
