KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for Sarawak, effective from Thursday (Jan 16) until Saturday (Jan 18).
The affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu.
MetMalaysia has also issued similar warnings for Johor and Sabah, with continuous rain expected from Jan 17 to 19.
In Johor, the affected areas are Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru, while in Sabah, the warning covers Pantai Barat (Ranau and Kota Belud), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan) and Kudat.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on the weather conditions and take necessary precautions during this period of continuous rain.
