BINTULU: The construction of a 40-metre bridge connecting Taman Kemena Sutera and Taman Jason has officially begun, following a ground-breaking ceremony officiated by Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming on Saturday.

The project, which is expected to be completed on September 17, 2025, will be a catalyst for closer community ties, as well as improving transport links and reducing traffic congestion in the area.

“This bridge is not just infrastructure, it is a symbol of progress and opportunity. It will make daily travel safer and easier for residents,” he said.

He also stated that this project was one of the commitments in his previous election manifesto.

“This is proof that our election promises are not just words. We are serious about ensuring that every initiative brings benefits to the people,” he said.

The Tanjong Batu assemblyman also assured that he and his team will closely monitor the implementation of this project to ensure that it is completed on time and according to the set quality standards.

“We will continue to work hard to bring positive changes to the community in this area. This project is just the beginning of more developments to come,” added Pang.

The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by community representatives, local leaders and residents who also expressed their full support for this effort.
