SIBU: The pro-tem Youth 1828 Wing of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) is gaining invaluable experience by participating in the PBB Central Zone Delegates Conference, said PBB Elected Exco Member Safiee Ahmad.
He said that the exposure was highly beneficial to the youth, who represent the new strength within PBB.
“It demonstrates the party’s unwavering commitment to developing and empowering our youth, regardless of their current roles.”
Safiee urged the young members to actively engage and learn from the conference proceedings.
“This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience that will serve them well as they continue to contribute to the party’s future endeavours,” he told reporters after attending Central Zone Delegates Conference rehearsal at Sibu Indoor Stadium today (Jan 10).
Meanwhile, Safiee, who is also the Daro assemblyman, expressed his appreciation for the party leadership’s initiative to organise zonal conferences.
“We are among the first zones to host this conference, which will be held at the Sibu Indoor Stadium tomorrow (Jan 11),” he said.
The conference aimed to provide a platform for all members to hear the address of the Premier, who is also the PBB president.
“This is a crucial opportunity to gain insights into the party’s direction and understand our roles and responsibilities as party members and branch leaders,” Safiee said.
He added that various motions representing PBB branches in the Central Zone will be presented during the conference.
Also present at the rehearsal were PBB Vice President cum Women chief Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah and PBB Vice President Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee.
