Concrete drain ready ahead of schedule

MIRI: Despites the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, a Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project in the Senadin constituency has been completed ahead of schedule.

It is a RM200,000 project to construct a 252-metre concrete drain to solve the flood problems at Kampung Muhibbah, especially during the high tide. 

On Monday (July 26), Senadin assemblyman cum Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin visited the site of the completed project in the village.

He was accompanied by Kapitan Ngieng Hock Diing, the engineer in charge from the contractor of the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) Miri project, officers from the Resident Office here and members of the village development and security committee (JKKK) of the village. 

The tentative completion date for the project is September 2021.
