KUCHING: The charity Ramli Sarip Tour 2022 concert themed ‘Cinta di Sebalik Musim’ will be held at Dewan Majma’ Tunku Abd Halim Mu’adzam Shah, here on Nov 20.

The Bait Leadership Foundation (YKAB) is organising the event in collaboration with Rasa Karya Sdn.

“This charity dinner is being held for the first time in Sarawak and the message conveyed through my songs which have concepts of divinity, life and society is suitable for various age groups,” Datuk Ramli Sarip told reporters here, yesterday.

Touching on his album RASA, the legendary performer who is quite iconic with the title ‘Papa Rock’, admitted that his new album has all the best recipes and ingredients he has ever produced before.

“When you can publish a full album with 10 songs, it gives a different satisfaction. Creating direction and creating concepts is very exciting. Each album has its own colour, character and spirit.

“An album production contains various stories contained in the musical journey of an entertainer or singer who creates his own songs and how his music develops according to the time and conditions that he passes from time to time,” he said.

According to Ramli, the making and production of this 10-song RASA album became even more unique when production started in Kuala Lumpur but was completed in Singapore when the COVID-19 pandemic struck the world in 2020.

“Sometimes there are organisers who want guest artists to brighten up the concert and that’s not a problem for me.

“And it doesn’t feel wrong for them to celebrate together, and indirectly I can also share the sustenance with them.

On the concept of the show, the Singapore-born singer promises to be different in every location he visits.

“Not all performance venues are the same. From what I can tell, the similarity is only 70 per cent while the other 30 per cent depends on the situation.

“The audience’s taste varies because some like hard music, some like more traditional music and some like poetry genre.

“Whatever they like, the core is of course rock music;pop culture needs to exist,” said the singer of the song Perjalanan Hidup.
