KUCHING: Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, graced the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri organised by the Sarawak Gerontology and Geriatrics Society (SGGS) at Kozi Square here on Saturday night.

She was impressed by the comradeship shown by the senior citizens who were still physically and mentally fit, despite being aged 65 years and above.

Speaking at the gathering, SGGS President, Dennis Tan, expressed his gratitude that the bonding among the SGGS members was good, as shown by their attendance.

“We have organised many events for the members since the beginning of this year,” he said, adding that more events and activities would be held later this year.

He added that SGGS wants to see that senior citizens remain physically and mentally active, such as taking part in activities it organises.

He said SGGS plans to organise a trip to Bintulu soon, hoping that more members will participate.
