MIRI: Prioritising the implementation of comprehensive health education programmes is essential for promoting preventive self-care practices.

According to the Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, such initiatives not only help raise public awareness about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle but also reduce the overall burden on the national healthcare system.

“Some members of the public lack understanding and awareness of health knowledge, and some have never undergone health screenings.

“Therefore, community outreach activities such as health talks and free health check-ups are proactive measures to enhance public awareness of their health status,” he said in his speech at the Dinner and Appreciation Ceremony for Tudan Health Clinic 2025 here, recently.

Lee, who is also the Senadin assemblyman, expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Tudan Health Clinic staff, who have faced various challenges, including managing an increasing number of patients, which has reached 900 to 1,000 daily.
