KOTA SENTOSA: The local community is urged to be the eyes and ears of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) by reporting any suspicious activities.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Ir Lo Khere Chiang said that crime and drug abuse are becoming increasingly challenging issues, not only in urban areas but also in rural ones.

He then said that addressing these problems requires the cooperation of all parties, including government agencies such as PDRM and Local Authorities (PBT).

“Therefore, I hope all residents can act as the eyes and ears by reporting any suspicions to the authorities without delay,” he said during the Safe City Programme at the Kampung Haji Baki Community Hall here today (Dec 23).

Additionally, he expressed concern over crimes involving young people, including teenagers and students.

If not addressed promptly, he said, the future of the younger generation would be at risk.

“Therefore, we need to instil good values and ensure they are not influenced by negative elements,” he added.
