KUCHING: All communities in Sarawak are urged to fully support the current leadership in the state.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said this is to ensure the development agenda in the state would continue apart from strengthening inter-racial unity.
“Everything we do is for the goodness of Sarawak and its people,” he said during a Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri ceremony at Badminton Hall Kampung Haji Drahman 2 which was attended by 300 residents over the weekend.
He shared that festivities of this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri could still be felt as open house and Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri celebration continued to be held.
“In Sarawak, this year’s celebration is indeed festive. It is different compared to other places because we celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri over one month,” he added.
He pointed out that Sarawakian would be celebrating the Gawai festival of the Dayak community next month.
During the function, he presented Aidilfitri donation to 315 hardcore poor residents consisting of 176 from Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman 1 and 139 from Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman 2.
