MUKAH: Various parties have come together to support the Disaster Management Committee here by sponsoring fuel for water transportation.
This initiative was undertaken by the community after recognising the committee’s primary need for fuel, as water transport is the main mode of transportation during floods.
With this fuel sponsorship, flood relief operations in the affected areas can be carried out more smoothly.
Among the sponsors involved are FTK Group, Tiong Kheng Sdn Bhd, MVP, Leong Kin Lee, JS Seafood Restaurant, and Mui Hen Yew.
Other contributors include Ngie Lee Motor Servicing, Allan Leong, Lau Yih Kee, Sing Soon Lee Aluminum Co, Yap Kuok Ming, Sim Mao Ping, and Teo Yang Ming.
The sponsored fuel consists of 2,000 litres of N95 petrol and 100 bottles of 2T oil, amounting to a total value of RM5,150.
The aid coupon was received by Mukah District Officer Peleadzman Ahip at the Mukah District Office today.
