SARIKEI: Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh urged the communities to strengthen cooperation with one another to assist the government in accelerating and bringing more development.

He stated that without mutual cooperation, it would be difficult to implement any development.

“If there is difficulty in implementing development, this will cause disadvantageous to our people,” he added.

He said this during the Al-Quran recitation ceremony at Masjid Al Mutaqqin Sarikei today.

Meanwhile, Len who is also the Kuala Rajang assemblyman said, the upgrading project of Masjid Al Mutaqqin, which is currently under contruction, would require a little more time to be completed due to issues faced by the contractors related to the supply of construction materials.

Nevertheless, he is very grateful to the residents of Sarikei who understand the situation.

“I also call on the mosque committee to continue providing explanation to the people about what is happening now,” he said.

During the ceremony, Len handed over contributions to 35 students who participated in the Al-Quran recitation as well as giving out contributions to the needy and elderly.

He also thanked the contractors for their contributions for the success of this year’s recitation ceremony.
