KUCHING: STM Lottery Sdn Bhd is set to continue its tradition of giving back to society with the 38th edition of the Sports Toto Chinese New Year Ang Pow Donation Campaign.
Taking place next year from Jan 16 to 21, the initiative will benefit senior citizens aged 60 and above across 50 locations in Malaysia.
The campaign will kick off with a launch event at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, on Jan 16, 2025, from 9.00 am to 10.30 am.
According to STM Lottery, eligible attendees will receive a mini hamper and ang pow on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Seniors are advised to bring their identity card for age verification, as no representatives will be allowed to collect items on their behalf,” it said in a statement today (24 Dec).
For the record, as an integral part of the Helping Hands programme, this corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiative by STM Lottery, which was started in 1988, has benefitted over 455,000 seniors, contributing RM25.6 million to brighten their celebrations.
“By continuing this campaign for the 38th consecutive year, STM Lottery hopes to bring joy
and support to the elderly community during the festive season, fostering a sense of
togetherness and care,” it said.
