SIBU: Oya Road Health Clinic Panel Advisors (ORHCPA) recently spread some Christmas cheer by visiting and celebrating with the residents of the Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference (SCAC) Methodist Women En Ling Elderly Daycare Centre on Archer Road.

ORHCPA chairperson Melinda Wong Kwong Hung said the programme focused on fostering closer ties with the local community, bringing joy and festive cheer to improve the mental well-being of the elderly and contribute to a healthier society overall.

“This worthwhile programme brought joy, happiness, and love to all the residents, staff, and board committee members,” she said.

Activities included the presentation of Christmas gifts to the elderly, the donation of electric appliances to the centre, and entertaining performances by the residents themselves.

The visitors also toured the centre and admired the artistic creations of the elderly.

Wong added that ORHCPA advisors, appointed by the Federal Minister of Health, are tasked with creating a more effective two-way communication channel.
