Clean water soon for Bintulu residents

KUCHING: The Northern Region Water Board (Laku) will be providing clean water supply to affected areas in Bintulu district as soon as possible.

Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said this is regarding the issue of dirty tap water which was experienced by residents in several areas in the district.

“I have contacted Laku and discussed with the chief executive officer of the department for a thorough solution,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday (July 12).

He added that he also contacted Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom to discuss the issue.

“He assured to send the department’s maintenance team to resolve this dirty water supply issue as soon as possible,” said Tiong.

He accompanied his post with videos and photos of the problem experienced by the affected residents.
