BAU: Should Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) win all 31 parliamentary seats in the Nov 19 general election it will enable the state to influence the formation of a new federal government.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Permanent Chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said voters in this state should therefore unite by electing GPS candidates so that this can be realised.

He said it will also allow Sarawak to have a strong representation in the Dewan Rakyat.

He was speaking at a People’s Leaders Council held at the Dewan Masyarakat here on Saturday.

Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, GPS candidate for Mas Gading, Lidang Disen, Political Secretaries to the Premier John Nyigor and Charles Chad Nissom and local leaders were among those present at the event.

Asfia, said the voters in Mas Gading should therefore be united in their support for Lidang.

He said, their votes should not be wasted by voting for candidates from Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and DAP.
