BELAGA: Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon hopes the Special Task Force (PPK) operation will achieve its goal of helping Sarawakians facing citizenship issues.
He said the PPK operation from Nov 7 to 16 targeted issues and problems faced by the people around Sungai Asap here before continuing the operation to Belaga from Nov 24 to 27.
“After completing the operation in the two areas, the PPK will carry out a third operation in Long Urun from Nov 29 to Dec 3,” he said after a working visit to the PPK in Sungai Asap here, on Saturday.
Kennedy said the operation, which includes inquiry counters on citizenship issues, will continue to selected areas that need the service.
“What is important is that this PPK programme achieves the set target, which is to ensure that Malaysian citizens who require help benefit from it, enabling them to get all the privileges as legitimate Malaysians,” he added.
