KUCHING: Consul General of the People’s Republic of China here, Cheng Guangzhong and his wife, visited Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs and Stampin Member of Parliament, Chong Chieng Jen and family at the latter’s residence here last Sunday.
During the visit, both Cheng and Chong, Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak chairman, exchanged gifts and discussed generally the present situation in Sarawak and how to foster better ties between Sarawak and China.
Also present during the visit were Chong’s father and founder of DAP, Chong Siew Chiang and Pending State Assemblywoman, Violet Yong.
