SPAOH: The management board of Chinese aided schools can always seek help from the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas assured that the GPS government would always be there to listen and do its part in finding solutions for their problems.

“GPS under Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has a very inclusive policy.

“He is always ready to help all races. And we in the government too appreciate the importance of Chinese aided schools.

“This is because we view their development as our responsibility as well.”

Uggah said this at the annual dinner of eight Chinese aided schools in Betong Division.

He added that in 2021, the state government allocated RM10mil to such schools statewide. “This year, the grant has been increased to RM12mil.”
