KAPIT: Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi recently presented Bumiputera status confirmation certificates to 20 recipients here.
In his Facebook post, the recipients are children born from inter-racial marriages between Dayak and Chinese in Kapit.
“I advised all recipients to understand the responsibilities that come with their Bumiputera status.
“Certainly, as Bumiputera, they will be able to enjoy several benefits, including opportunities to further their studies at local universities, which also offer scholarships,” he said.
He reminded them not to waste the opportunities given and to continue focusing on their studies so that they can contribute back not only to the people in Sarawak but also to the whole country.
