KUCHING: The Tabuan Jaya Chamber of Commerce has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering community spirit by contributing a generous donation to enhance Chinese New Year decorations at the Tabuan Jaya Commercial Centre and Datuk Song Swee Guang Park.

The donation handover ceremony was held yesterday (Jan 9) at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) office in Jalan Padungan. Mayor of Kuching South, Datuk Wee Hong Seng, accepted the contribution on behalf of MBKS.

Representing the chamber during the handover were Penghulu Datuk Alex Pui, secretary of the Chamber; chairman Lim Swee Chiaw; treasurer Wee Teck Ping and Youth chairman Hiew Kit Shang.

“Chinese New Year is a time for togetherness, joy, and renewal. This thoughtful donation will help bring the festive spirit to life and ensure that this year’s celebration is memorable for everyone in Tabuan Jaya,” said Wee

The donation will be utilised to decorate the Tabuan Jaya Commercial Centre and Datuk Song Swee Guan Park with Chinese New Year lanterns and other festive ornaments.

These decorations aim to create a welcoming and joyful environment, encouraging cultural appreciation and unity among residents and visitors during this significant celebration.

MBKS extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Tabuan Jaya Chamber of Commerce for its continuous support of community development initiatives. The council emphasised the importance of such collaborations in fostering a strong and vibrant community spirit.
