LAWAS: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has announced that the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) will soon have a permanent campus here.

He said that this would present a significant opportunity for students in the area to enhance their skills and secure better futures.

Speaking at the 7th Pre-University Convocation Ceremony of SMK Merapok recently, Awang Tengah urged students to seize the educational opportunities provided by the Sarawak government.

By 2026, all Sarawakian students will have their costs covered by the state government at Sarawak-owned universities.

“We also aim to support students who succeed in gaining university admission,” said the Bukit Sari assemblyman.

“Our initial focus will be on universities owned by the Sarawak government.”
The campus is expected to provide students with access to state-of-the-art facilities and programmes.
