KUCHING: Members of the public are still allowed to make cash payments at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and all Health Ministry (MoH) facilities in the state.
Clarifying the viral issue related to cashless payments at SGH, State Health Department director Dr Ooi Choo Huck said the public may still pay with cash if they are unable to use any cashless method.
“However, members of the public are encouraged to make cashless payments (via debit card or ATM, credit card and e-wallet) at all Ministry of Health of Malaysia (KKM) facilities in the state starting from Oct 1.
“This is in line with the state government’s efforts towards creating a digital society,” he said in a statement today.
