KUCHING: COVID-19 cases in Sarawak have dropped to 18 from the previous’ 29 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 252,809.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update stated that, of the 18 cases on Sunday (Jan 30), six were in category 1 while 12 in category 2.
“The breakdown of the cases shows that Sibu recorded seven cases while Kuching recorded five cases.
“Bau, Samarahan, Kapit, Mukah, Beluru and Sebauh each only recorded one COVID-19 case,” said the committee.
In addition, there were three new persons under surveillance, and 439 were under quarantine.
The total of persons under surveillance who had been discharged were 165,348.
